Installation of system is not as simple as screwing the internal unit to the wall or roof and finding a space to put the external unit, then joining the two together with pipe and cable work. Installation of the system actually begins with designing the system. This has to be done before a quotation can be provided. First ‘heat gain’ calculations need to be collated. Heat gain is term used to describe any item in the environment which gives off heat, like in the office, you have people, computers, printers, monitors, fax machine etc all of them provide heat.
We also measure the size of room and take into consideration the location and size of any windows which also have an effect on the core temperature of a room or area. This information is input into a program which then calculates the average heat in a room at any one time, enabling us to know what size system is required to accurately cool and/or heat that area.
Then there is problem of placing the unit in an area which is aesthetically pleasing to the clients, but which also gives it the best chance of performing to its requirements. All pipe work plans need to be properly drawn up along with all electrical wires, with consideration needed for existing pipe work and wiring. So as you can see, the process is very intricate.
Once a system is designed and the client is happy to proceed, we can begin the process of installing the equipment. We install all types of air conditioning and ventilation systems. Each system is very different to the next one depending on the environment it is due to be used in frequency of use and also what the general requirements for the system are, to cool only or cool and heat, etc.
We have also expertise in the fabrication, erection and commissioning of ducts which includes air balancing.
